Tick Segerblom was born and raised in Boulder City, Nevada. A third generation Nevadan, Segerblom attended Pomona College in Claremont, California, where he obtained a BA degree in 1971, and the University of Denver, in Denver, Colorado, where he received a law degree in 1975.
Tick Segerblom is an accomplished attorney who specializes in the field of employee-employer relations and has been listed as one of Nevada's top employment lawyers in "The Best Lawyers in America," a private publication that ranks lawyers according to their specialties since 1993.
Mr. Segerblom has served in the Nevada State Assembly from 2006 to 2012 and was elected to the Nevada State in 2012. He currently serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on Judiciary. His wide-ranging interests are reflected in his current and past membership and participation in a number of organizations that include the Citizenship Project, Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, and Asian Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Segerblom is dedicated to public service with a strong desire to contribute to the improvement of government and his community. While in the legislature he has championed employee-employment rights to prevent discrimination in the workplace, government transparency, and introduced legislation to help homeowners who are underwater on their mortgage.
