Intern Testimonies:

testimonialpic_2.jpg"What started as a simple class assignment turned into a life changing experience. In the fall of 2008 a professor at UNLV required the class to independently seek out a campaign to work on throughout the semester. At the time I was going to class and work both full time, so I wasn’t very excited about the idea of losing valuable free time to work on a campaign. That was until I found the Nevada Senate Democrats. From the first day that I met with the Internship Coordinators, the exciting atmosphere found at NSD blew me away. It didn’t take long for what I had originally perceived as “just another class assignment” to change into something that was truly fulfilling. I would strongly suggest to anyone who is even remotely interested in politics, or just interested in the well being of their community, to get involved with the Nevada Senate Democrats. My time with NSD was well spent. I gained an array of knowledge that not only helped me with my class assignment, but has also provided me a strong base for my career."-Sean Christian (NSD Intern from Sept. 2008- Nov. 2008) lauren.jpg
"I came to Las Vegas to study at UNLV for one year on a Domestic Exchange Program. Being from Massachusetts, Las Vegas was a new and exciting place for me and I had no idea what to expect. As a political science major, I wanted to get involved with a political internship during an election year. I definitely picked the perfect one with the Nevada Senate Democrats! I learned everything there is to know about campaign life and the hard work that goes into getting someone elected. I attended some amazing events and met the most incredible people along the way. My experience as an intern for the Nevada Senate Democrats has provided me with new skills and talents that have led me to new heights and I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in Democratic politics in Nevada!"
