Join the Nevada Senate Democrats for a Community Conversation!

Nevada's growth is reflective of the opportunities the Silver State provides.  For some, it is the perfect place to retire.  For others, it is the perfect place to build a career and start a family.  For others, Nevada is place to get away from it all.  The last decade has brought unprecedented growth to Nevada – providing opportunity and prosperity for many Nevadans.  However, times have changed. Both the national and state economies are slowing.  We have to make tough decisions as a community.
As a community, we must determine our priorities so that we continue to build a better Nevada.
The Nevada Speaks Community Conversations are an opportunity for Nevadans to come together to define their own priorities.  Our citizens need to play a large role in these decisions.  The Nevada Speaks Community Conversations will give Nevadans from across the political spectrum the opportunity to talk about the kind of state they want for themselves and their children.

shirley_and_her_grandchildren_2b.jpgAs a mother of three and a grandmother of three, family is everything to Shirley.  Shirley Breeden is one tough mom who has been fixing things her whole life.  She spent 30 years working with Clark County Schools and solving problems that affect our kids and teachers.  She is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate, working with abused and neglected children who are Wards of the State.  And, Shirley is also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary that sends mail to wounded veterans, care packages to soldiers overseas and raises money for the children of deceased service members.  Learn more about Shirley or volunteer to send this tough mom to Carson City.
