BILL STATUS: Referred to Committee on Finance. Feb. 19, 2009- Notice of Exemption.

When it comes to per pupil expenditures, Nevada ranks among the bottom of states nationwide. Senate Bill 2 would make an appropriation to the State Distributive School Account to ensure that the amount of money expended per pupil in Nevada K-12 for the 2009-2011 biennium meets or exceeds the national average. The Nevada Plan will make sure that each student has an opportunity to receive a quality education, with financial assistance from both state and local governments.
